My Areas of Specialism and Skills.
In case you don’t want to read through all the content of this site and you just want to know what I may be able to offer you, below I’ve listed what I believe are my key skills.
Social Innovation Consultant – able to advise on strategy, application, growth and support for social innovation initiatives and interventions, using both Design Thinking and Applied Positive Psychology. Particular experience advising on or designing user-centered innovation methods and processes.
Connecting – able to build relationships quickly, maintain wide ranging contacts, communicate universally, foster introductions and offer guidance on there development potential, as well as spot possibilities and opportunities for cross sector collaboration.
Communicating - able to influence, negotiate and empathise with people, across the private, public and third sectors, particularly to ” get people on board ” through inspiring trust, genuineness, energy and connecting people to clear visions and values.
Facilitating Pet Sematary dvd – able to create safe and fun spaces for people to explore the unknown territory of new possibility, and with presence and spontaneity support communication between people to improve their relationships, creativity, decision-making, problem-solving and productivity.
Co-Design, Co-production and Co-creation – able to design and facilitate collaborative workshops and projects to help groups create breakthroughs, alternatives, new possibilities and sustainable and meaningful outcomes, whilst building the collaborative capability of individuals, communities and leaders.
Coaching – able to work with individuals or teams to connect with their values, realise their potential, be authentic… …and blah , blah , blah…the coaching speak does not quite work for me since I did my coaching training in 2005, but I do think that coaching techniques underpin how I approach much of my work, and there is real value in always going into a situation never believing you are the expert, asking powerful questions, listening with a greater depth, being able to be with people even when it feels challenging and difficult, and being endlessly curious and intuitive. I am good at taking the fear out of speaking about difficult things.
Research- I have an uncanny ability to find things out, track things down, source leads and uncover connections. As a Social Scientist having completed my MSc in Applied Positive Psychology, I mostly use qualitative approaches to research and particularly value Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis, Action Research, Ethnography and Thematic Analysis.

Project management - able to manage projects !
Design – And if you ever want some designs for your clothes, or your home furnishings, or your events…then I do, on the rare occasion, take private commissions – if the brief is a bit dark, naughty, exciting, beautiful or unusual.
